Hey,
Can anyone please tell me if they have replaced the small light bulbs in the Side Mirrors of thier XR5 Turbo's and how to do it...??? I have a 2010 model but I don't know if these lights were on the models previously but any idea from the owners would be appreciated. |

Isn't it in the manual?
I think they are referred to as "puddle lights". |

Hi, a copy-paste from the manual + some comments: Position the mirror glass as far inwards as possible (so that there's a gap between mirror glass and mirror housing at the outer side). 1. Insert a screwdriver into the gap between the mirror housing and the mirror glass and release the metal retaining clip. (Initially it's hard to see the metal clip, let alone pointing the screwdriver in the right direction. It may be useful to point beam of 'keyring LED light' or small torch within the depths of mirror housing lower part and have a look.) 2. Remove the lamp (The outer side of the lamp will come out first). 3. Remove the bulb (If you intend to replace the original W5W with some sort of LEDs, be aware that the space therein is limited and not all 12V LED bulbs will fit in). |
