Just wondering if anyone know's a website which has a definitive collection of worldwide car sales statistics? I know there's vfacts for Australia, but i was thinking there might be one on global scale?

I reckon that would only be in the US. Im guessing the worldwide no.1 would be Corolla or Golf.

I thought they would be up their, but i know Focus and Fiesta both claimed best selling car of the year, atleast once during those years...any chance of them being no.1?

No doubt F-Series with USA sales alone would be up there also, and the camry.

F-series was at one stage selling 1million a year, which was more than any other car Worldwide. With the GFC it dropped quite a bit, down to 600k at one year I think.

Corolla is the world's 'best selling car', but I assume that is because it's one of the longest-running globally-sold cars ever (if not THE longest).

In the UK, Ford seems to do bloody well with Focus and then Fiesta dominating sales.

And who says the Poms are fools? :P

Still - over the past decade... me thinks it #1 would be a Toyota... most likely the Corolla...

I think Camry has also sold 1 million per year in the US. Kinda makes me throw up a little in my mouth.

Last year, in the US, F-150 sold 413,625 units. Camry "only" managed a paltry 356K.

hehe...
I'm picturing the movie "dawn of the dead".
Imagine if all those "things" could drive cars!

I feel that the Camry and Corolla would be best suited to their brain dead lifestyle! hehe ...

eg: we don't want something too zippy cause we're a bit slow ...DEERRR!!!

To the Camry and Corolla's credit, they have really improved their interiors. The Corolla especially was boring as death. They've put a little more styling into it to actually bring it into this century.

They will always be conservative however.

If I went Japanese, I would go Honda over Toyota because although they're still conservative, they have a little more style and the people I talk to love their car...

But I'll stick with Australian anyway.
