Saw this the other day, looks like an Xw or Xy ute but with a very unusual canopy on. The badge on the guard reads "Ranchero" and the number plate on the front was foreign, not sure where from. It is still RHD though.
Anyone care to shed some light on exactly what it is? Cheers, Matty

You dont happen to have a full picture of what i think is a blue 63 delivery sedan in the background. You can just make out the back end of it. Thanks |

Yep, they are pretty tough. The yanks did some pretty wicked muscle car utes, including the Ranchero. For example, we salivate over the Bill Bourke XW 428. In the States you could option the 429 Cobra Jet in the Ranchero in the early 70's, and the 460 in the mid to late 70's. Boy howdy Autocat, those were the days...

the red ute looks like a 63 ranchero and the car in the back ground is a 64 or 65 falcon wagon they share the same lines as the 64 ranchero in the pic ( the blue ute ) Infact the falcons and the sprints of 64 and 65 were all the same floorpan just different in hardtop, wagon, ute etc.
