Just had a look to see how our Aussie flying ace Matt Hall was doing in Canada in the Red Bull air race.
Apparently he touched the water while recovering from a high speed wing stall, looks like his wingtip is about 200mm or so in the water! looked at the photo's in the first link but didn't really feel how quickly it all happened until watching the youtube clip at the bottom of the 2nd link. all happened extremely quickly and well done to matt to fly out the other side of it.

and the tail wheel. their not built for and sort of hard impact. I'm actually amazed it didn't snap off
