are you talking about changing the whole rear axle or just the diff centres..?
if you're talking about the whole axle then... not sure if you can.. but if you use the AU diff cover and watts linkage it should keep the right angle.. the AU and EL diff angles are different... also, you'll need to find if the EL diff length is the same from end to end.. also, the wheel offsets are different so you'll need to find out if you can change the rear offsets back to AU... as i said.. not too sure, but there's a few points to think about... cheers kris

You can't use the whole diff no. The au diff is longer. Try and find put if the el LSD will fit inside your au housing

I was told that EL 3.45 LSD insides will slot into the AU housing, as long as you don't have a 3.08 diff as the housing is smaller than the others.

Yeah i was just looking at swapping the centres over.
What does having a higher ratio diff do? Im guessing the AU XR lsd were... 3.09? Oh and this will be going into an AU rally car.

You reach higher rpm at lower road speed so the car is hitting bigger power earlier therfore improving acceleration. 3.45 is a bit nicer an it's a good upgrade from 3.08 but if you wanna change gears and it's for a race car of any sort definitely get 4.11s
if I had a 2nd chance I'd put 4.11s in my street car lol the economy really isn't that bad with my 3.9s and it's actually better around town highway obviously worse
