Default How not to start your weekend

This morning, at about 6:30, i got woken to a beautiful Saturday morning to find some inconsiderate @$$holes have decided to stream line the LTD, by taking a garden stake to it. Speed hole in the form of a smashed sunroof and super streamlined cornering ability by removing the passenger side electric mirror. THANKS GUYS! :

What posesses this kind of damage? The could have atleast done the opposite mirror which is already broken. They havent even taken anything, and once the sunroof is broken its not even remotely hard to get into the car, they've just done it just to be @$$holes.

Noone that i have spoken to in the court so far heard anything last night, and i was dead to the world asleep between 12 - 6:30 last night.

The Police were nice enough, so i guess im going to have to go through and deal with my Insurance provider today. Atleast ive got fullcomp.

And i suppose i can be greatful that my Cortina wasnt out the front next to it as it usually is, because the insurance on that got cancelled when i put fullcomp on the LTD. I would have been more grateful if they'd just walked straight past it. :

I cant figure out how to attach thumbnails, as i dont want massive pictures in the thread. So theres 2 pics in my gallery. I hope this doesnt cost a fortune to fix....

Sorry about that mate. Aside from the material cost, it's a personal violation when a-holes do things like that .. a-holes that would be too gutless to do it in front of you. I hope they own a nice car one day and some other a-hole does the same thing to them ..

I dont know if you have the same problem as i do, i live about 150 metres from a leagues club and i dread a friday and a saturday night. I have to make sure the cars are "invisible". These people that damage and deface other peoples property should be made to stand in public with a sign around their necks saying what they have done.

Condolences Mate,

I know how you feel, my typhoon was only 1 month old when some low life smashed the passenger side window.... for no apparent reason.....I live in a group of townhouses and dont have a lock up garage..... when I informed the cops .... they told me that a lot of this goes on at that time of year....Xmas school holidays..... you know the season of good will.

There are some people out there that just dont deserve the right to draw oxygen. I hope they catch them.... somehow.

cheers

Peter

Well after speaking to a neighbour, he said that there was something on up at the footy club last night, so hopefully it'll pay off by going up there and seeing if anyone left in a foul mood last night.

Its only a mirrior pal. This happenend to me when the olympics were on and the torch was run at the end of my street. You wont find resolution even if you find these guys .It will become a bigger problem. To find resolution do what I did ..get a new mirror and get on with life. The laws of karma will see that they get what they deserve.

Thanks Wayne, im very disappointed as its only a new car to me.

useless when they have hit the sunroof and smashed it they have bought the stake down on the roof, which if you care to take a look a the pictures in my gallery you can see the mark on the roof where it has come down. Now i can see from here in front of the computer that it has actually dented the turret, so its not just a "mirror get over it problem".

Even if it was just a mirror, its MY mirror, on MY car which means i paid for the damn thing and noone is going to go and break anything on it unless i tell them to.

Honestly i think there should be a 10second delay with a cancel option so people can think about their posts before they actually appear in a thread.

And your point is? It doesn't matter whether he had his window broken or had his car stolen, he still has to deal with the inconvience and has to go to a lot of trouble for no reason at all. I seriously doub't your gonna take it so calmly.

Really sorry to hear that happened to you- it makes my f*#king blood boil when I hear things like that...I've had it too and I just hope that somehow they will get their come-uppances along the way.
They are bottom dwellers and take comfort in the fact that generally, people who do this have nothing of any real value themselves, hence the inability to comprehend how much their actions affect others.

Would love to tear them a fresh one but hopefully you will never come across the problem again.

Mate sorry to hear it.
Give your insurance people a call, make a claim.
As for the excess send an invoice to the club up the road from you if you find it was one of thier patrons as the Club has failed in thier duty of care to ensure the patron did not get drunk. More people need to do this so the "no more its the law" rule is actually enforced by pubs and clubs.

*suddenly thinks about the afore mentioned 30 second delay thing*

Yes I know its quite a jump to being able to prove anything but if more people take that action and clubs and pubs are actually held accountable for letting people get drunk they will start to understand that its not so profitiable to keep feeding people alcohol after they have obviously had too much.

THough if the cops are there usual useless selves it wont help. If no-ones injured they just dont care.

Good idea Yaw, i will be going up there later. At the moment im looking at getting quotes. From my half-educated guess its looking to be in excess of $2000 at the moment.

The footy club will be getting a visit from me. And i dare say the both the boys in blue, Police and AFF Lynch Mob

f**k man this sucks. way to ruin the weekend. i just dont understand WHY anyone would want to do it. its better than being stolen but at least you can understand why someone would want to steal your beast. not trash it.

i live near a pub which attracks young dipsh*ts cause of the late bands. i usually stay up till 1-2am "just incase" on both fri and sat nights. last time they threw a bottle through a mates back windscreen. wasnt there to see it. usually they arnt any troubel just p*ssing outside the house and i scare the s**t out of them with the big "bright as f**k" 6 battery maglite. yelling abuse at them is fun, as is watching them run whilst still ****ing. they get drenched.

Well to make things worse, i spoke to a few people in the court where i live and the guy across the road heard a car come into the court at very high speed last night and then heard a bang. But being a good area, and such a quiet court he thought it was just me getting home and closing the door.

So that makes me feel even worse, thinking that its a personal vendetta against me! And people on here that know me, or even met me know now quiet i am, im not a person that goes out and causes trouble, or even looks at getting into trouble. I dont have the time, im always fiddling with my car!

Now for some niceish news... After a week of the panel beater searching wreckers, and putting out all their trained feelers into the vast space that is the spare parts world, and coming up with nothing. I post 1 thread on these wonderful forums and find exactly what i am looking for, to make it even better, im picking up said item (albeit at my own expense) tomorrow.

I suppose they got me a passenger side mirror fast enough...

Looks like ill have my LTD back by next weekend!
