As title going to pick my brand new fiesta up on saturday, but one thing i have just thought of is.....
What if its old stock getting registered now ie may 09 when its now june 10?? So my question is what is a reasonble expected build date on a new car when you pick it up??? Should the one i am picking up be say april 2010....???? Please help as i dont want a older one that has been sat around for ages..... |

I picked up my car 3 weeks ago, made sure it was built 2010, check the drivers door B piller, mine says Jan 2010

Ahh is there a differance with the older ones as well??
I really want mine to be 2010 model mind you as it defeats the object hey...!!! |

Don't think there is any differencs until you go to trade it in, then it will only be an 09 model and worth less, you know how car yards are.

My advice would be not to take delivery. I've just purchased a zetec and delivery is next week. If the build plate isn't 2010 I won't be taking delivery. As a car salesman myself and them having this knowledge I would hope they have done the right thing. But we will find out

Only if you have it in the contract, be it verbal or written? if you have signed for a car by vin number then too bad too sad

When I place a deposit on the wife's Fiesta I insisted on a 2010, the sale person checked on the system and she advised that is was schedule to be completed 31/3/2010. When we picked it up it was an April build and compliance in June. But they still had 09 cars on the lot, they were cheaper.

My contract doesnt have a vin on it.....
I needed that for the insurance but couldnt get hold of it i believe they were registering it today for me though

So just to comfirm for tomorrow..
1) The build plate will be in the drivers b pillar (presume this is inside the door frame) and 2010 2)The compliance plate will be in the engine bay and 2010 also... But the main thing being the build plate says 2010 in the b pillar yeah??? |

Surely it is written on the contract? I put a deposit on a white zetec and the salesperson pointed it out to me. Mine is an 04/10 build and 05/10 complied.

Nope it didnt even have the vin number on my contract at the start i only got all those details when i went back for inspection...
I could of probably got all that information innitailly mind you, i just didnt think about it at the time, i presumed new was new..... |
