I couldn't seem to find an answer to this through the search function, so am hoping someone will have a solution.
When I plug my IPod into the AUX jack on my WQ Fiesta, I need to have the volume between 20 and the max 30 to get any decent sound. The radio works fine one volume 5 to 10. I asked my local dealer if the amplified mp3 lead advertised for the Territory could be fitted but he said the 'plugs were different'. As this sounds like a bit of a cop out by them, I thought I would get and opinion from the forum.

Have you tried the volume on the ipod? Mine runs fine at about 12 with the ipod on full.

+1. Turn the Ipod on full and adjust with the radio volume.

What they said
I have the volume on my ipod set on full and just adjust the desired volume via the stereo ... about volume setting 10 on mine. |

Wow, 7 for me is loud enough.
Maybe i am getting old? Also, might want to check the quality of the audio cable. |

IPod's own volume is always on full and cable is a Beilken. Might get the boys to check it next week during the 45K service - could be something wrong with the cars wiring.
Thanks guys - process of elimination helps - I've tried with a Shuffle and a 160Gb Ipod, and they are both too quiet.

I use mine with a Griffin Autopilot
I think it amps the signal. Did need to find a real short aux cable though.
