Default Recommendations for Romantic Restaurant in Sydney

Hey guys,

Not sure if I should put this here or in the Advice Central (mods, please move if required).

I need recommendations for a romantic restaurant in Sydney to take a young lady. Preferably near Circular Quay or The Rocks. I tried Aria but they don't have a time slot that's good for me.

I'm after Modern/Seafood/Contemporary style food. Not too concerned about price. Just after some good food and atmosphere.

Thanks!

I'd make time to go to Aria, One of our Fav's esp on NYE what a location.

Its worth it mate unless you need to be somewhere else she will be happy :-)

Try Rockpool, Becasse http://www.becasse.com.au/ or Etch http://www.etchdining.com (both are Chef Justin North).

Don't you mean the Revolting restaurant !

Was good in it's day but now no more than a good view not a place to eat, just like Level41 food went downhill after the Chef moved and now just a good view.

Jordans or Nicks in Darling Harbor on the water for a great seafood restaurant. Go Nicks over Jordans though imo

Oh and this place - Wildfire. I went here for a business end of year dinner, awesome food, awesome location and beautiful scenery at night

If it is romance you are after, i think the best restraunt in Sydney for this is Level 41 (chifely sqaure0.

Aside from good food, it has unbelievable night time view, fantastic wait staff and they do not overcrowd the restraunt, which in my opinion adds to the romantic ambience.

Cheers,

Hally

Cheers all. I've booked in to Rockpool. Hopefully it's good. Looking at the menu it should be. I'll keep the other places in mind for later dates.

Thanks again all!

No offence, but that restaurant was great in the 80's but like the big hair and flourescent clothes of the time; it's just an embarassing tragedy now.

For romantic date number 2 take her to Catalina in Rose Bay.
