View Poll Results: Would renaming the Pursuit to GT help sales?
Hell yes, GT ute would be a winner | 34 | 22.52%
Yes but not a lot, ute buyers are mostly more about performance than badges | 7 | 4.64%
Maybe, but it will probably just be the XR8/Pursuit buyers anyway | 17 | 11.26%
No, it is the design (lack of IRS/body) that is the problem not the badge | 15 | 9.93%
No, XR8 and Pursuit are the Falcon Ute names, GT has no heritage here | 38 | 25.17%
Burn the witch, GTs must always be sedans (well apart from the hardtops) | 40 | 26.49%

Some like the GT badge.
Some like the Super Pursuit name. In the end we will get neither, but a bit of both.

well for what its worth i own a bf gt and bf s/p ute love them both ,i could never see myself wanting gt badges on the ute ,gs sounds good and goes with fords history ,but to add to someones comment that the s/p ute is equivelant to a gt-p i would very much disagree with , so many things are not standard to both machines ,rear parking sensors automatic wind down windows not even backlit switches (windows).but way too many gt-p-e's ,i like the idea of gt options but just GT for a badge ,and please don't take this the wrong way but i think ford went wrong by opening up xr8 to have the k/w as a gt ,if your going to have several brands you don't let lesser models take over previous models of higher market it just doesn't sit well with customers wanting to pay more for a fpv and next year its a xr8 for less money ...its not rocket science ...doc

There are GT motorcycles.
Suzuki had a GT 750. from 1971 to 1977. the first mass produced water cooled 2 stroke in 1973. Kawasaki had a GT 750 in 1986. And a mate had a GT Yamaha when he was 12 years old. it was a weapon of mass destruction and so was he. |
