Are the steering racks in Au's ajustable for free play?

By doing up the large nut (and locknut) that points down on the bottom of the rack you can tighten the damper to the shaft and remove some shudder from the rack.
When they get older this can help sometimes End to end freeplay no |

I did what Jastel is talking about a few weeks ago. You got to be really gentle, its a very fine adjustment.

my missuses rack is adjustable , lift them up let them down , lift them up , let them down ,
