My dad bought my sister an ea ghia. we have had heaps of problems with it. it has been converted to a 4.0L and has a 4 sp box. for some reason it starts in drive so therefore it cant pass a roadworthy. Has anyone got any ideas to help out. Its been to an auto electrician but they didnt know what they where doing.
any help would be greatly appreciated. thanx SCOTT

How did you do the wiring for the neutral safety switch, it cant plug straight into the 3.9L loom you have change the pins around.

Is it only drive or it starts in reverse as well?, Could be the linkages are out of wack..

Dellboy we bought it with the 4.oL in it.
Racecraft i am unsure mate if it starts in reverse aswell.

Could be the neutral safety, but auto elec should have tested it, at the wiring, did all the looms get swapped, or was it just dropped in and off you go.
Send me a PM with an email address, I will send you a spreadhseet with all the wiring details for converting from 3 speed to 4 speed, so you can check the work done.
