Default Club Drag Day At Eastern Creek

The Mid North Coast Ford Owners club has been invited to come along on a drag day at Eastern Creek on the 15th of August. It will cost $200 per vehicle, which will almost get you unlimited runs all day. There will be a maximum of 50 vehicles, and this quota has almost been filled already !!!! If you want in, you must inform me and pay your $200 to confirm your spot. Here are the details.

When: Sunday 15th August
Type of event: plain good old fun drag day....with a Dial your own bracket event in the afternoon
How much: $200 per driver
Payment due: 10th July...better get in early as there are limited spots

The event:

Just come and have fun (within the track event rules which I will shortly publish)

Morning will be just plain good old Drag Racing
Afternoon will be a Dial your Own Bracket Event (this is where a 15 sec car can potentially beat an 11 sec car) more on this later
If you are racing you can bring 5 guests (2 crew, 3 spectators)


THE RULES (as set out by WSID)

• Minimum 40 / Maximum 50 primary drivers at $200 each
• Primary driver may bring two (2) crew members and three (3) spectators
• A pre-arranged secondary driver, nominated for a given vehicle, permitted at $50
• Intended for street-registered vehicles only however ANDRA-designated Super Street vehicles are permitted
• No cars with potential to run quicker than 11.000-seconds permitted
• No motorcycles with potential to run quicker than 10.500-seconds
• Drivers must hold a civil driver’s licence as a minimum or be able to prove that they have previously held a full civil driver’s licence
• Current P-plate licences are acceptable; Learner’s permits are not acceptable
• Bookings must be made at least 21 days in advance
• Deposit of 50% must be paid no less than 14-days prior to the hire date
• Balance must be paid no less than seven (7) business days prior to the hire date
• Entry List must be provided by close of business Wednesday prior to the hire date
• Entry List to include names of all primary drivers with any corresponding secondary drivers listed adjacently
• ANDRA-licensed competitors must have their ANDRA licence number listed adjacent to their name
• Final entry list, should there be any adjustments, must be provided by close of business Friday prior to the hire date
• WSID must be notified of any withdrawals by close of business Friday prior to the event
• Without notification by close of business Friday no-shows for the event will not be refunded
• WSID-contracted catering is generally not available for private club hires
• Drivers must wear long pants, long sleeves, fully enclosed shoes and an approved helmet (please see ANDRA-approved helmet details following)
• Minimum lap-sash seat belt required (lap belts only are not permitted)
• Motorcyclists must wear a MA-approved jacket and gloves, long pants (preferably leathers), boots that cover the ankles and an approved helmet
• No alcohol or glass containers permitted within the venue
• No animals or fireworks permitted within the venue
• Competitor Gate opens 8:00am
• Registration and Scrutineering from 8:00am – 10:00am
• Compulsory start line safety briefing at 10:00am
• Racing from 10:15am – 1:00pm; Lunch break 1:00pm – 1:30pm
• Racing resumes from 1:30pm – 4:00pm
• Pit/Paddock area cleared by 4:30pm; Venue secured 5:00pm.

Drivers
Drivers of vehicles slower than 10.99-seconds (1/4 mile) are permitted to use any helmet (full-face or open-face) meeting one of the following Standards:
• SNELL SA2000, SA2005, SFI 31.2A (USA)
• SNELL M2000, M2005, SFI 41.2A (USA)
• BS 6658-1985
• AS/NZS 1698:2006 or AS/NZS 1698.
Riders
Riders of motorcycles slower than 10.00-seconds (1/4 mile) must use a full-face helmet meeting one of the following Standards:

Default Did anyone go?

I went to the nostalgias at willowbank just to have a look on the weekend, I would have liked to go to this but they never got back to me after I spoke with them, "oh well" still did anyone have a look or a run?
