Default Digital radio in car

anyone got a digital DAB unit ?

i want to listen to Nova Nation in the car but dunno if its worth the $200 for the unit ...

Which unit is that? Are you referring to this one...

Is it a DAB unit or a DAB+ unit (yes there is a difference).

Digital Radio in the usa is considered a flop afaik. digital is fine for a shelf radio, it doesn't suit a car system. unlike analogue, you either 'get it' or you don't, there is no in-between, so interference and signal drops from things like power lines and buildings really adversely affect it. get out of the city and you'll get nothing at all.

The reason for switching to digital? So the govt can sell the spectrum. the us govt got 2.3 billion for the spectrum sold there.

Range is definately an issue in Brisbane. I believe the transmission range is very limited, from around Logan on the southside up to around the Pine River on the Northside. About a 25k radius from the city.
Hope it improves.

Default its awesome

I have a Sangean Digital DPR 69plus DAB radio for home .What a top unit extremely easy to use

sound quality is amazing just like a CD and the extra stations are great as well

dont know how the car units work but reveiws give it good marks

I remember when you could not get any FM reception more than 10km from St Lucia.
