The world isn't getting dumber, more people are gaining access to the internet.

But seriously, I can put up with some of the abbreviation and spelling mistakes, but just the lack of capitals, full stops and paragraphs makes things incredibly hard to read sometimes.

I'm not so sure about the "often" part, I'd say for most people the poor English skills have more to do with carelessness and laziness than being a victim of circumstance.

The your/you're and lose/loose things among my pet language hates, but I have to laugh at myself sometimes for getting frustrated by some semi-literate person's words on a page. It's not like the person who wrote it cares so I'm probably better off finding something more worthwhile to whinge about.

It's good having this thread here to get it off our chests though - good therapy
