Default FPV and XR club of Newcastle in Hankook press release :)

Nice to see the FPV and XR Clubs getting some exposure in a press release from Hankook:

BLUE OVAL BOYS BACK HANKOOK

Hankook Tyre's award-winning Ventus S1 evo is gaining a cult following amongst enthusiasts of high performance Ford Falcon models.

FPV and XR Owners Club of Newcastle member Steve Hart swears by the performance of Hankook's luxury premium sport tyre after converting from another brand.

Hart says he has been amazed by the improvement in performance over the tyres fitted as original equipment to his Ford Performance Vehicles (FPV) F6 310.

"The main reason I made the change to the Hankooks was to reduce the level of tyre noise I was experiencing," Hart said.

"They are very quiet, responsive and great in the wet."

FPV GT driver Simon de Bono, from the New South Wales Central Coast, is another convert to Ventus S1 evo.

"I hated the original equipment tyres because they were so noisy so I changed those for a different brand - but the noise actually got worse," de Bono said.

"The Hankooks are much quieter than anything else I've tried and the handling in both the wet and dry is fantastic - precise and responsive. I would recommend them."

Ventus S1 evo recently defeated several premium European brands to win a clutch of tyre tests in Germany.

Prestigious magazine Auto Motor Und Sport rated the Hankook tyre best in more than half of the test criteria, particularly commended for its "very good driving characteristics in both wet and dry."

That success followed a recommendation of Ventus S1 evo by the German automobile club ADAC and its European test partners in their influential summer tyre test, which is read by more than 18 million people.

And Ventus S1 evo was one of only two tyres rated as "very good" by specialist VW and Audi magazine Gute Fahrt, earning its highest recommendation for noise, comfort and wet and dry handling.

Developed for the demands of European weather conditions at Hankook's technical centre in Germany, Ventus S1 evo features an asymmetrical tread pattern for improved traction in both wet and dry conditions.

Unique wave-form longitudinal grooves maintain steering stability and reduce aquaplaning.

The use of Highly Dispersible Silica Compound (HDSC) technology further improves wet weather grip and also improves mileage.

i have had them on my GT for the past 2 years and quite agree with their sentiments. They are brilliant in the wet and quiet too.
Cheers

Nice plug for both the tyres and the club. I have used Hankook Ventus on my territory and loved them (not the evo's though).

As a side not, anyone notice the name of the VW/Audi magazine?

Gute Fahrt .... is just my childish mind that converts that into "good fart" lol.

I thought they were quite average on my Fiesta. Had the 194/45/16 S1 EVO tyres and I honestly think my 205/40/17 Toyo Proxes 4 are much better, quieter, more grip, more cornering ability, I found the sidewalls in the Hankooks very soft.

Good bit of sell for Ford though.
