As above

Holden not worried why should they be the SC 5.0 is an FPV vehicle not Ford so it isnt any competition
Holden are worried about their ancient pushrod V8 so they are trying to round off their 'package' to compensate by offering brake packages

Yeah right, lets see how many buyers take up the option of this package, Ford tried it and it never worked this will be like
I noticed you didn't bring my comment about fuel consumption into play which is what I was really talking about.... For their power, engine size, new design and fantastic 6 speed zf (which is crap in buses however lol) their fuel consumption its quite on the poor size. This is where I meant they could have done better. I'm sure there's a lot more left in them. No doubt in fact.

And buyers of these cars consider fuel economy when?

Usually when you are filling up, then once you start the car again, you forget about it.

So what about the people that don't buy them because of running expenses but really want one.....

What a bucket of **** comment that is. People buy V8's for performance yes, sound.. not to mention towing or simply because they can. You Seriousley think none of the people that drive V8's care about fuel consumption. Your seriously mistaken.

But you missed my point all over again, they could have done better with consumption, if this was a new engine HSV was bringing out everyone would be saying it's not better enough.

You cant make power without burning fuel... not withstanding gains in efficiency you still need to burn more fuel to make more power...
AFM shows just that with the corresponding loss of power with the improvement of 0.1l/100k's...

Well that is just stupid, if they dont buy one because they cant afford running costs well that takes them out of the equation.

This is getting off topic.

See 4Vmans point above, but once again this isnt about fuel economy its about suspension and brake upgrades being offered.

Bah, no point fighting the one eyed monsters. As a Car industry enthusiast as a whole, and not supporting any one brand, except maybe VWAG. There's nothing clouding my judgment that the ford inline six is a brilliant engine, and the ZF is spectacular (to be expected) but I just don't see anything overly superior or spectacular in the design of the V8 for a brand new donk...... sorry.

Carry on convincing yourselves, I'm outta here for now.

Thumbs up on the cheap brakes. Not sure on the 19" wheels though. All the talk of being 19 inch looks to be marketing spin. If i was in the market i'd be trying to ditch them for the standard 18's if they still fit over the bigger brakes.
