Talking Man Sells Ticket for $200 & Misses Out On Shelby Cobra Door Prize!

BLUNDER OF THE YEAR!!!! Watch this video; the guy looks sick as he realises he has lost out big time. I recommend switching the HD video setting off unless you have an excellent internet connection:

Sorry if repost, i couldn't see it posted here in the last three months or so...

And here is a short story on it. Looks like it was a raffle, not a door prize. Either way...heart break....

Ah well, I'm sure this guy would have just walked away, promptly laid the $200 down at his local TAB - and then watch as it also went down the gurgler.

Such is life.

Who kept saying 'he just bought the * ticket' over and over? I thought it was the guy who sold the ticket but he went up all happy. What are the odds though that he bought the winning ticket.

Starts with a bit of video footage of a transaction taking place at (I think) a casino just before the draw of a raffle for a shelby mustang(?) One guy sells his ticket to another for 200 bucks and the buyer is almost immediately picked as the lucky winner !!!!. I think some in the crowd know whats happened and start yelling that he has just bought the ticket and it wasn't really his. They bring the bloke up on stage who sold the ticket and basically duck shove him straight off back into the audience before handing the keys to the lucky schmuck that paid less than book price for the winning ticket. Gold!!
!!!

Cheers,

Bloody hell I think theres a lesson there. I wonder how it all works out in the wash with the original ticket buyer having his name on the ticket. Either way it sounds like the guy who paid over the money won the car, good on him.

Hey Brazen, in my second post, there is a different link to the vid. That one might work for you where the first one didn't. It might also be on YouTube if that helps...

Yeh, that would sting so bad. I don't think drowning your sorrows at the bar would work. That's just a swift kick in the beanbag, poor bloke.

Just watched it again....Hmmmm, Now, is it just (cynical) me, or does the opening couple of takes of the ticket transaction captured on video(by "just dumb luck" as per poster) just look too obvious??? I love the story, but hope it doesn't pop up somewhere down the track as a hoax or some other such set up.
