Default Crappiest week ever

I must say this is the worst week ever. On Saturday my Gran passed away, 1 day before I was due to come to perth and visit her, apparantly she was not well but it was a very rapid decline as my mum and sister saw her the day before. We were very close. I am also worried my family think I am an ***hole as I am acting like nothing has happened but it is the way I cope, plus I have my kids which keep my mind off it and being on the Ambulance you kind of get used to death. For me she is in a better place, she had had enough anyway and her osteo was so bad that the treatment was worse than the osteo itself. Also she had just gone into a home after a few falls and once that happened she just gave up, she also has now avoided having to sell her house to pay the home, she had already paid them 25g plus weekly rent and then they wanted another 290k. Finally and the most pleasant part was she died with her mind still 100%. I am also in perth to see my cardiologist and have been having some symptoms similair to heart failure. As I type this now I am in bed due to the fact I have been up for the last 6hrs with violent vommiting etc. This also on the same day I had a table booked to go to lunch with my mum and siblings. I tell you this week better pick up after this lol.

Sorry I am just venting. One day I will get a blog lol.

Sorry to hear mate.

Condolensces to you and your family.

It's never easy to have someone close to you suffer. My nan went into a home at around the age of 86. At the time, she had early stages of dementia, and she just became uncontrollable, and so a home was the only option. My uncle had previously been looking after her.

She was doing great for the first year, but then lost her appetite and passed away soon after.

I also like to believe she is in a better place and surrounded by family.

My girlfriend recently went to a clairvoyant, which may or may not be something your interested in. Both her grandparents came through, and the reader gave some very close personal information. Whether you believe it or not, it's a great healing experience, and was her way of letting go.

Some people deal with their grief differently. You being the strong one, the rest of your family might be looking to you for direction.

All the best

Clay

Just know that others are feeling for you- pick up their vibes. Sincere condolences for the passing of your gran. And also best wishes for a speedy and satisfactory outcome for your own health issue. Take it easy.

You will grieve in your own way when you are ready, so I hope you family realise this. Wishing you strength when you need it, and hoping things pick up for you after this upsetting week.

Kind regards and condolences to you and your family

Shazz

Thanks to the people who have posted, it has gotten worse. Doc gave me news I will need to be opened up within the next year. It will be my 4th heart surgery since birth and it is very risky this time round due to the amount of surgery my heart has already been through. So now I a, worried as my life insurance does not cover me for my cardiac condition so if I were to pass my partner and kids would get 0.

Seems it is now imminent I will be opened up again. I have a CT in 3 weeks, I saw my cardiologist 2 weeks ago and today got a letter asking I return and see him in November. He never contacts me, I usually book all the appointments. Having to travel back and forth to Perth is a nightmare, and when they decide to do surgery the trips will have to be more frequent leading up to and after. This is not a small one either, it will be a full on reconstruction of the right side of my heart, so prob be 6weeks at least before I can work. All this is stressfull as there is no way my partner can stay in Perth because she won't get paid, plus the kids etc. When I was younger these stresses were not an issue. I was a kid. It is doing my head in at the moment. Sorry I need a place to vent.

Vent all you like mate. I think from what I have seen, there is a collective good will in this place and that may come to you in some sort of karmic way.You will find a couple of other medically based threads here where you might find comfort in knowing that this country ,despite a lot of flaws, has medical expertise maybe second to none.
Good luck, and stay positive, (everyone else you will deal with on this journey will more than likely do so).
As a complete aside, your story is also a good reminder to others of what is really important.

Sometimes faceless places are the best avenue in which to vent, even if you have perhaps met one or two or even more people here. I would encourage you to do so, and just seek out for any support that you can get.

From my perspective, do hang in there. Life presents many challenges, and obviously you are facing a huge one at the moment. Try and stay positive and continue to love and receive love from those around you.

All the best
