Cash/Bank Cheque only. I usually go with the seller for them to deposit it into my account/pay out my loan. That way they get the assurance theres no finance and i dont have to mess about with it all.

The problem with paying Direct Deposit is they have your cash and what if the seller changes their mind? They have your cash and you have no car.

I would only do Cash or Bank cheque personally. That way everyone knows where they stand and they can take the car when they pay for it.

Who seriously has 10 large, just kickin around ???
Most lending institues would prefer to pay by some form of transfer rather than handing cold hard cash
Then that depends how the loans is set up

As for being the seller, how you sell the car depends if there is money owing or not,
as to how a transaction is done
Some loan institues would not release the car unless the monies owing is paid up

I wouldnt let anything be released from my possesion unless all monies are in my hand
(cash,transfer,cheques cleared)

Cash or direct deposit is fairly safe
People can forward date payment via direct deposit,be carefull
All amounts cleared in full before releasing the car

I've had the other problem with DD. Once it's gone into someone's account you can't get it back. If I were the buyer I'd be wary of this unless I went to the bank with them.
