Default dual-clutch Ford?

http://www.motorauthority.com/blog/1...-in-new-fiesta

Its old news, but got me wondering .... everyone seems to be getting on the dual-clutch bandwagon, and conventional autos are quickly becoming yesterday's tech. Is there any chance we'll see something like this in the next Falcon?

i`m sure ford would have prototypes, but whether bean counters would see it as worthwhile is anyones guess, the 6 speed auto still works like a ripper , if it aint broke.........

Have driven a 7spd dual clutch (DSG) Polo 77.
It is a fantastic transmission, the Polo only has 77kw but the transmission makes ensures it never feels sluggish. The benefits are also shown in the fuel economy. So far averaging around 5-6l /100km.

The benefits are there and it should be investigated.
