Who remembers the "mole factory" in Campbellfield, Melbourne?
We were just kids having fun...
Then the 80's came about ...bloody rotarys, bloody nitro!
That was the end of us I tell ya! hehe.

1- I have a high powered car, love it, look after it, respect it and may give it a bit sometimes.
2- He usually drives a box of crap and flogs it everywhere. No matter whose life they endanger. At least he looks cool. :s

The enthusiast loves his car and spends the money on it even when he doesnt need to in an effort to improve it.

The hoon whinges when caught by police and claims to be an enthusiast who has no where to go in his car in order to have " fun"

I can empathize with this guy there really is very few places to "go" and if we are honest here the only other place to get some "fun" is the street when there is nowhere else, where I live any kind of this stuff is out of the question as there is nowhere to "go" so to speak so many take the risk and do it in the safest place they can find on some half decent back road needless to say many of them get caught, the only "legal" option is to trek to Melbourne and even there there isn't many options, but we have plenty of football ovals and baseball diamonds..

The hoon wont really care where he is, even if there is a legal alternative (and yes i admit there isnt many facilities out there, but for arguements sakes, let say there was), they wouldnt pay to enter their car to use it on a track.

As an example when they V8 "street ciruit" was built in Townsville the only people against it were the residents affected. No one from any motor club/ race club spoke out to say "hey we need a full time track where everyone can use it"...

And as per usual whnever there was a crack down on "hoons" by police here they all whinge... we have no where to go. But none of them spoke up to say we want a full time dedicated track built. A hoon prefers to break the law because its some rite of passage/ impress ya mates that kinda thing... and yes im notclaiming i was ever innocent either.

Most people grow out of the mentality of illegal racing, burn outs etc....

In metaphorical terms (sometimes factual):

Enthusiast: Has a 10 inch schlong but doesnt feel the need to advertise it.

Hoon: The duration of the burnout is inversely proportional to length of his endowment.
