As for the topic in discussion judges are way to lenient, would it be better in cases of animal cruelty for the jury to have more of a say in the lenght of imprisoment? worst case maybe the judge and the jury could come to a medium of some sort. |

Unfortunately we as animals (mammals) have the issue of wanting to be superior to everything else, (just watch animal planet before u argue) we as humans have evolved more quickly than all others, and the invention of tools and weapons has enabled us to dominate all other animals on earth. Modern society has made such endeavors unnecessary for the average person, so i can only assume that the culprit of this unusual crime, is an evolutionary throwback, asserting superiority over a large animal. To think the police are the only thing keeping society as we know it together. Deep down we are all capable savages.

yeah, these people just plead mental issues and seem to get away with a slap on the wrist.
Because it was an animal involved rather than a human it's different standards and I doubt the scum will even see time behind bars. |

These ****** need to get what is coming to them. Penalties are most definately not in line with the crimes. One thing I can't stand for is cruelty to animals, like a bully, weak as ****. AAAARRRGGGHHHH!!!!
