Nothing too greasy, fatty or salty...

Experience has taught me is that you will generally feel like poop if you much a whole bunch of junk while driving. Ever had KFC then driven a couple of hours? No good.

Usually if i go on a decent drive I’ll take something like some cashews or a milk drink....something that fills you up. Or just stop at the nearest subway, get a foot long, eat half, then have the other half later.

Interesting reading. Come Christmas time I'll be driving from Perth to Carnarvon and I'll be wanting some snacky type stuff to munch on that won't make me feel like crap - keep the awareness levels up. Particularly being the middle of summer.

Maltesers + plenty of water.

You will be awake and needing to stretch you legs every hour or so (trust me).

Amphetamines.

In all seriousness however, Bananas. Very high in energy, they reckon one banana gives you as much usable energy - if not more - than a can of red bull, and lasts a lot longer.
Plus Bananas are yummy as ******!

Good tip, might take a length of hose a small funnel and a bottle though, **** stops push the arrival time away exponentially. Just as long as you don't get pulled up and the cops think that bottle with the off-coloured water and a hose siticking out of it isn't a bong.

Salt and Vinegar pringles and Maltesers at the same time, yum.
Hardest thing Ive eaten whilst driving, and I wont do it again, ceasar salad. Also whole pizzas are hard to do while driving as the box gets in the way.

Jamming your mandibles round an Ultimate Double whopper while sucking down a Coke takes some fine motor-ing skills in the knees, especially trying to catch all that dripping burger sauce and the inevitable half tomato slice that falls out..

..and you'll step out of the car with white juicy stains on your crotch.

On a long hot drive like Perth to C'von **** stops are your friend. You need to take regular rest stops otherwise you'll start feeling drowsy and crap later in the day which could end rather badly.

Plus, you get the chance to leave a **** ring on the highway.

So from what I have gathered thus far, I will need to factor in the extra towing weight and poor fuel economy to haul my now-fat-*** back home resulting from all the deleciously bad snacks I have consumed? ..... I'm not as opposed as I thought :P

When I went to Melbourne last year for nye, we just took a wad of cash from a heap of bottles and cans we collected(about $250) and that was snacks, drinks and fuel money. As we where in no rush we stopped at every servo, bought zoo mags, chiko rolls, pies, hot chips, chicken nuggets, ten million red bulls, pizza, schnitty meals at a pub....yeah we spent all the money before reaching melbournes outter suburbs. Fun trip though!
