D/F 1" 7/8 will be the way to go since you are S/C.
Have a chat with paul about pricing and fitting but i know you wont be disappointed with the Di filippo Headers. We have not found another system that will come close to the Di filippo products.

I've got Hurricane 1"3/4 to 1"7/8 primaries into a 3" inch collector just wondering how much difference in performance there between them and D/F. |

I currently have the herrod headers and a custom 3 inch mild steel exhaust with some spiral tubes and custom mufflers, it sounds good but is a little loud. Jeff

Jeff,
the Herrod headers are a longer primary design than their pacemaker "shorty" counterparts, and for the power you have, they are more than enough. The system hopefully (without looking at it) will not have any silly joins or reducers, the spiral tubes are good for killing power, and we like to avoid them. Im assuming its a twin 3" system? I would keep the system then as is, and work on muffler choice to get the sound you want. This is of course working with what you have. To go to a bigger system may only be of benefit on this car if the car is likely to see a considerable jump in boost. Our preffered system is the Difilippo big boy system with the 1 7/8 headers. The big difilippo system is ideal for a blown application, and the sound is loved by all who hear it. The only time the difilippo becomes a restriction is at 500rwkw on 98octane, then the rear section needs to be upgraded. Obviously we are talking serious power here, and since it would appear your car would fall inbetween somewhere, your future plans for the car would have some impact on my recommendations. Chris
