I saw a post on a forum some time back where a guy in South Africa [??] has fitted a Lexus chassis under an old G.M [??] body..
The Lexus had to be shortened 150mm so the wheel arches lined up.. He welded the inner guards to older body etc.. See if I can find it.. Check my memory ??? Lol... Oh previous post I was meaning leave the G.T's relatively stock as in no body butchery.. The base models as far as I'm concerned can be modded to the emf degree.. No Gt's came with drum front brakes.. The XB Gt's came with disc rears on last models.. That's why I said 3 on the tree etc as std Falcons where fairly primitive back then...

There's no real right or wrong answer, I've heard it called just about all the suggestions in this thread. Different people in different places call it all sorts of things.
What i find disturbing is that the yanks only cottoned on to it about 10 years ago, we've been doing it for over 20 years and they're supposed to be the leaders of the world? Score one for the good guys |

Whats unreliable about an XY with a 351 clevo, toploader, and 9 inch? I doubt you have ever owned an old car by your post. Atleast if something stuffs up in an old car, a turn or two of a screwdriver fixes it! |

when we judge car shows, the category is Retrotech. newer technology in older car.
basically injection, computer etc. in earlier bodied vehicles. eg. injected 5.0 in say an XP coupe with digital gauges etc.
