Stumbled on this little Ford dealership in Tokyo last year. It wasn't very big but they had mighty fine cars in there. Took a few pics of some of the cars which was quite difficult as the place was quite small.
         And a bloody big transformer thing in a park. It was massive!!  |

Now why can't Aussie dealers have cars like that in their showrooms?
That GT350 is sexy. Also, that's a Mobile Suit Gundam, not a Transformer. Just sayin'.

Awesome all round...what is it with the yanks in building awesome super/muscle cars and then fitting them with dodgy looking chrome rims...grr..pet hate. Even the Corvette and Vipers are not immune.

We had a Jap intern when I was working at Honda, he said that Ford is not well known in Japan and is very small, they have pretty much no market share there.

The showroom was in a Tokyo suburban area called Omori. About one kilometre from Omori train station.
The Saleen S7 Twin Turbo is an all Aluminium 7.0L V8 turning 750hp at 6300rpm and it was for sale for 85 million Yen which is around 1 million Aust. Any takers??

Japan can sell all kinds of cars here in the US, brought over from Japan with nothing like that added to the price. Sure, there is a tarriff, I don't know what it is, but it is fair. An American car in Japan gets slapped with a tarrif worth as much as the car, doubling it's price. This is a HUGE thorn in the side for Americans. We don't know why this has been allowed to go on for decades!!!!!!!! Steve
