Doubt it Ford have developed a few models (T6 being the most well known), this is just reward for doing a good job. Ford Australia - design a good car and do it cheaply.

No real synergy between China and Aus . Their cars are left hand drive to start with.
This move surely is a promotion for the guy who obviously likes a challenge.Imagine his bonus if he can increase the market share in China .

Yet another CEO change. The Yanks certainly like stuffing the other countries around. It's almost like they're playing a game of musical CEO's.
It was good to have an Aussie here. It was nice to have positive things happening for FoA while it lasted. I just Hope it won't come to.. 'Would the last person to leave the Broadmeadows factory, please turn off the lights.'

oh boy, hope we dont start seeing those weird oriental clover leaf style single seater 2000 ant power with rose petal smelling exhaust exiting out a heart shape exhaust tip concept car. you know... the one's with the bright led lights on the front to tell the world what mood you are in judged on your driving style that also lean into orners and loook like a round ipod on whhels with a joy stick for a steering wheel and a flat hemp green seat.

As for the Falcon Ute, I believe that it will stay but in a format more similar to the VE. Ie no separate cab chassis. This move will allow for IRS.

I'd say that regardless of how good or how crap Mr Graziano is, Ford Australia's future has now been set in stone. The decisions relating to the long term future of cars like the Falcon, Territory and that of the future of the assembly plant would more than likely have been made already. Graziano will of course be the new skipper of the vessel, but the vessel is already out in the open ocean, charting a course for...somewhere. How it gets to that destination in the meantime leaves a bit of discretion to Mr Graziano.
Given the control Detroit now has over its global operations, any significant departure from what has already been decided will need the green light from HQ. This is apparent from the new marketing slogan and jingle for example.
