He also has secured more design for Ford Australia, they also saved more of the casting plant for rotors that will be exported to other companies, he also got Ford Australia back into profit, and according to the other thread on here Ford's service has improved.

Also one of the biggest things he did was change peoples view on Ford and the Falcon, when he came in it was a lot of doom and gloom, now there are constant good news stories for Ford and there is more of a positive outlook even when certain journo's seem to push their agenda.
I'm sorry to see the guy go. He was a real asset to Ford Australia. Good luck Marin, I hope you enjoy your next posting and for yor successor to improve upon the foundations laid.

Doubt it Ford have developed a few models (T6 being the most well known), this is just reward for doing a good job. Ford Australia - design a good car and do it cheaply.

No real synergy between China and Aus . Their cars are left hand drive to start with.
This move surely is a promotion for the guy who obviously likes a challenge.Imagine his bonus if he can increase the market share in China .

Yet another CEO change. The Yanks certainly like stuffing the other countries around. It's almost like they're playing a game of musical CEO's.
It was good to have an Aussie here. It was nice to have positive things happening for FoA while it lasted.

I just Hope it won't come to.. 'Would the last person to leave the Broadmeadows factory, please turn off the lights.'

AAAAAAAAAAAARRRGGGHHHHHHHHHHH!

The FIGO is selling up a storm in India and other markets. T6 Ranger will sell extremely well worldwide. There is a very good chance that Ford Aus will also develop more models for China too. This is what this move is about.

As for the Falcon Ute, I believe that it will stay but in a format more similar to the VE. Ie no separate cab chassis. This move will allow for IRS.

I'd say that regardless of how good or how crap Mr Graziano is, Ford Australia's future has now been set in stone. The decisions relating to the long term future of cars like the Falcon, Territory and that of the future of the assembly plant would more than likely have been made already. Graziano will of course be the new skipper of the vessel, but the vessel is already out in the open ocean, charting a course for...somewhere. How it gets to that destination in the meantime leaves a bit of discretion to Mr Graziano.

Given the control Detroit now has over its global operations, any significant departure from what has already been decided will need the green light from HQ. This is apparent from the new marketing slogan and jingle for example.
