Folks I bought this as the Focus motor is pure AWESOME.
Zetec 5 speed manual. I guess it hit a pole. I am thinking about building this type of thing. Aerial Atom inspired Mid mount car. In Au we have to pass a lot of tests so this English design will need a lot of re-engineering to make it road safe. It was too dark to take photos of the car but the motor and steering are now out. The seats are out and the Dash is half out. |

One would have thought you would have brought a rear ended or side impact car so the motor was untouched or is it all cosmetic kinda thing?

The issue is price. With just a scratch they go for over $12000. With big rear ender you might pay $6000. Stat Write Off go for $3000 plus depending on what is broken. I know of a guy who picked up a rolled focus with all four wheels hanging off and every panel bent for $1000. I don't know of anyone getting one cheaper. He was lucky but when we fixed the wiring and connected the battery we got major malfunction on the dash. We plugged the wheel sensors back in and I cleared the codes and got the car running. The reason the prices are so high are these cars are very popular for motor swaps. The motors are fantastic. Lots of hot up stuff. More coming on the market every day. |

I'm pretty sure I've seen you on these boards a long time ago saying you bought a wreck. Unless you were just doing research...
I'm certainly after some parts.

I got the first one just as they came out (4000km on the clock) and there was no market for the bits so I had a bloke come around and towed it all away. No one wanted bits off the car. It was crushed that day. I am keeping all the mechanicals, radiator to fuel tank to ABS sensors on the back wheels. So I pull out the steering wheel and rack, instruments and the front wheels but not the shocks and springs. This is a Zetec model and has Carbon style stuff on the dash. Ford Radio Seats are black cloth At some time there was an after market stereo and it has a stereo surround floating in the back seat now. Lights but not the fog lights. They will be my high beams. Some of the trim was broken in the removal. Back left door, hatch and bumper (with lights) are ok. Front left door needs a polish. Electric windows front and back. There is more but just ask. I guess this is for an after market radio.
Just have to pull the wiring out. Carbon look didn't come out in the pictures. Clean rear Mirror is fine but front door has a slight ripple. Back door and hatch look straight. |

Damian,
Sorry I missed you yesterday but you have my number now. BTW folks. I am looking for uprights. Here I have the back Rotor and caliper on the front upright. I am going to make a bracket to hold the caliper onto the upright as the motor is going in the back of the car. So I need 2 more front uprights. Ideally with ABS sensor. Can anyone point me in the right direction please? Dave D. |

Folks, Engineer has put a damper on my project car and I now need known standard suspension set up and I cannot use my modified Focus uprights. So I have now planned on using Supra suspension front and rear as it has factory upper and lower wishbones front and rear. I need to off load mine and cheesed off as they were a good looking Rim. What are the alloy rims worth of the Focus? Dave |

Do you still have the black cloth seats? I'm after the cloth only, I know they come off but not sure if your willing to sell the drivers side only(buttom). I've torn mine from farting....

I would almost be half tempted to get a rim as a spare, and do something to get rid of the space saver in the boot (maybe some sort of spacer or something so a full size fits in there?)
Any idea how much it would cost to send one to Adelaide, or how much you would want for just one (if you would get rid of just the one that is).
