Time has come to do some racing
The problem i have is the biggest rears i can fit are 225s or maybe 235s So im looking for any feedback from people using either a slick or a drag radial What will be better and why Thanks for any help |

Bugger. A lot of power for 225 tyres. Radials are a nicer tyre to drive on but not quite the grip of a slick.

Try Mickey Thompson street E/T's Radials.
Cars are running 10's on them. 235/60/15 would be the go |

stick with the radials,i've gone mid tens on them no problem and best of all you can drive home on them,i think you might be able to fit a 235/60/15 drag radial.

Well looks like 235s are the go
Now just need to make sure they will fit Anyone know how wide the widest part will be when there on a 7 inch rim ? |

My experience. Dont bother with et streets. If you want to go fast run a full slick. I can only fit a 26/8.5/15 et drag and 235/60/15 et street. The streets still blaze first gear in a capri with just over 400hp at the wheels. The drags hook up and run low tens. I need a 6 inch rim to fit both tyres. Very similar in widths the both of them.
Do you mind running slightly slower to have the et street? |

Yes I run a four point cage with removeable side intrusion which is andra aproved until 9.99.
I got it engineer/transport approved and on a permit. Needed to remove rear seats but it can be done all legal. Or atleast it could be done a few years ago. Always best to call tech section of transport dept before doing any major work. |
