Yea Im very interested. I herd that the Fairmont Ghia ECU are much better on fuel than the stock Gli's. Is is still going for $150?

Yes it is true however it only makes a difference with an exhaust system and air intake. This is due to the Fairmont Ghias using Tickford advanced technology which is slightly better than the stock 4.0 L

The actual engine side of things will be the same between gli and ghia. The transmission side of things which the ecu also controls will be different. It will be calibrated for a 3.23 diff ratio where the Gli will have a 3.08. This will cause early upshifts - not by much but apart from that nothing else will change. For $150 I definitly wouldnt be changing it for the sake of it.

Yes this is true. This is why the shifting helps on fuel. If you scrowl up you will see why I mention the air and exhaust mods as it also helps. I am willing to negotiate on the price if i am offered a sensible offer howver i was not planing on paying P AND H

Sorry to burst your bubble cheif but it won't do crap because its the same thing! Fairmont Ghia's didn't get any spechial 'tickford advanced technology' in ED. An NC Sportsman Fairlaine did but as far as that the luxo barges got the same engine as your taxi Gli did.
