Default Jason Plato vs Internet weirdo

Hopefully this is not a re-post but it's one of the funniest things I've ever seen on the internet.

http://pistonheads.com/gassing/topic...Plato...&mid=0

Very long thread but the basic gist of it is that the OP is complaining about having met BTCC driver and Fifth Gear presenter Jason Plato and that he was rude. Jason Plato eventually turns up to reply and hilarity ensues.

I don't think it was too long before JP turned up in the thread. A few pages maybe. The hammering the OP was taking even before that was funny in itself, though.

I feel sorry for the OP. He was probably just eager to meet someone that he admired, and definitely didn't deserve the abuse thrown at him by other members of the forum.

The below is what you should NOT do (which you did)

1. Appear from knowwhere

3. Look at the floor whilst jabbering at the recipient
4. Thrust yourhand out and then NOT let go

If the other person at any time is forced to say

Then, you have I am afraid, made a very bad first impression.

Buddy, you looked like, acted like and are a weirdo.

if you see me again, my advice, turn around and walk the other way,
I will not be polite next time.

Seriously, who the **** is Jason Plato?

I though it was the fat bloke from very early Top Gear and he had moved to Fifth Gear when James May arrived.

There are some pics in that thread of Jason Plato, taken by the man himself and it looks nothing like the Big Jason that I remember.

Man I'm confused.

It actually is not funny. Pommie humour is incredibly strange/gross, even when they mention 'custard' as a fun time answer... "I'll mention it on the show" If you relate to that in anyway, you need to get out a bit more.

Great post from that thread:

Post some prints through the door with a note saying how good he looks and other random complimentary stuff - don't mention his BTCC career though, he doesn't care about that, it's all the other stuff he likes being complimented about so you did well to mention the journalism bit earlier. After a week or so dress up as a milkman then go knock at his door at about 530am - when he answers give him a knowing wink and lift your milkman hat so he can see around the disguise, remind him of your meeting outside the dry cleaners and ask him if he liked the pics - he'll invite you in and you'll have a great day playing twister and spin the bottle.

No, JP is a BTCC racer, who usually does the contests with Tiff Needel
