Default Ford Wins 2010 V8 Supercar Championship

Suprised it's not up in the Pub yet.

What we need now is to lobby Ford Motorsport to come up with a counter-advertisement to this and then we'll all be happy:

Teehee. How could Holden have not won the championship? It just boggles the mind given the money they've spent compared to Ford and the advantage they have in numbers.

They could do something in leu of the radio adverts they ran in either 2005 or 2006. One advert featured the extinction of the lion, the other was a mock horse race where the commentary was focusing on the Falcon being in a 'one horse race.'

Nice find there too, I bet Holden had an onslaught of material to post if they did win. Which makes it all the sadder when Ford, who won with less competitors, will do nothing.

Remember that Lion spanking video ad they made a few years ago (after a Bathurst I think), simple, classy, effective, and really bloody funny.

I think the most appropriate ad would be a "300" style. Get David Wyndham in, throw a bandage over one eye. Do a lot of sepia tone fade in, fade out shots of the DJR cars.

The script could go a little like this

" It's been 30 years since the Falcon and the rock. But our hero Dick never surrendered. He toiled away until we came here today. Our enemy out numbered us a mere 2 to 1. Good odds for any Ford driver"

Cue title "Congratulations Jim Beam Racing and James Courtney"

"Falcon Number 1"

Fin

The thing that annoys me the most now... is the fact that even though a FORD driver and car won the championship in 2009, we had to watch all of 2010 with a HOLDEN wearing #1...

And the same again for 2011...

Is that the only way that Holden can get the #1 on their cars? Poach the champion from the previous year???

Holden's current motto seems to be, "If you can't beat 'em, buy 'em."

If there's one thing guys in Holdens hate more than being beaten by a Ford...
It's being beaten by a girl driving a Ford

One word YEP.

Holden has the money to buy it I guess, problem is, what is Ford Australia going to do about it. How can they let this happen!!! Drivers chase bigger dollars, so Ford should have paid to keep them. Shouldn't they???

I reckon Ford should play that holden ad on TV, then tag a bit on the end;

"Well that worked out well didnt it?" Ford: V8SC Champions 2010.
