Book recommends 5W-30. I use Castrol Edge 5W-30 Fully synthetic oil and engine is clean and doesn't consume oil at all with 147000 clicks on it. This oil is the best, copes lot of heat and doesn't breakup even at very high temperatures offering maximum protection. Good thing is, it is very effective at cold starts. Dont know how good the other grades are in Castrol, but 5W-30 fully synthetic is very good.

Now driving a Lexus RX 450h. Your guess is correct that I am a family man now.

Sure you're not in the marketing department?

Castrol or Mobil1 are my picks. Both are quality.

hehe if I had to promote I will promote Fuchs. Best oil you can buy at the moment. Not many people know because it's way too expensive. Their fully synthetic transmission oil 3353 or cvt oil has got no comparison at all. Been using in our work shop for more than 3 years now and couldn't find a good alternative for European transmissions so far. Mobil is good but synthetic oil is very expensive.
