Has any one had a BA turbo idle at 1400 rpm and wont go below

Chances are its got an air leak on the inlet side most probably from a broken pcv valve or being a trbo possibly a split or loose intake gasket, these are the basics, an electronic issue may be present too, although usually if the throttle body/accellerator pedal system has an issue, it will bring on the engine light and switch to a `guard mode` with limited throttle control. They are common for broken PCV valves, theyre pushed into a grommet at the rear of the rocker cover, but it may have blown the pcv pipe off under the throttle body, have a good look/listen around the throttle with the engine running you`ll probably hear it hissing its tits off.
