That's the guests contributing to their bandwidth use by viewing Goodle ads.
We introduced this 'feature' after the guest numbers reached about 1/3rd our average hits - and at times exceeded the number of members on-line.

I am often experiencing issues logging in via http://www.fordforums.com.au/ but I can generally long in from http://66.226.77.74/

The log in issues is related to the forum as other forums I am on I have no trouble logging in when I get nothing with http://www.fordforums.com.au/

Same here - really starting to pee me off. It doesn't happen on other sites. I lose so many post and have to do them a second and sometimes even a third time. It's been going on for months not weeks and starting to really wear on my patience. Need a purple pill and take myself to bed methinks.

For those wondering, go back and read post 24 in this thread.

While we are on this current server, these will be on-going issues and the band-aid fixes that are in place only limit the impact - they don't actually fix it.

As an interim measure I am going to turn off searches (apart from new post search) as they create massive load on a database this size.

Cheers
Russ
