Can someone please confirm the part number for a XR6 turbo intake snorkel.
After plenty of searches and checking I rang my local Ford stealer and requested BA 9A624A and described it as a b series XR6 T snorkel. Now i've seen plenty of photos of what it looks like but when I picked it up I just checked the part number on the sticker and I was in a hurry to get to work so I parted with the coin and left quickly. Now the next day when I went to fit it I opened the bag and went WTF its the same size as what I've got and trust me I know I've still got a standard snorkel on my car. I've since returned it and the bloke looked a little puzzled as to why it wasn't the larger snorkel but he ordered another for me to compare.

The more I think about it looks like someone has done a swap with the larger one cos the bag it came in was taped up on one end.

BA 9A624 A IS the correct number as the standard one is ER 9A624 A.
Sounds like the dealer you bought it from received the wrong ones from Ford, it happens occasionally. |

All fixed, I have the right one now.
I will see if fuel economy is affected over the next couple of fills and post some results.
