For the police to attend someone would have phoned them and that someone would have expected action. From what I have read from one perspective I do not see anything wrong with the action of the police at all. Perhaps the organizer could have alerted local police to the event, kept a good eye on who and who wasn't attending the event and kept police informed if there was any trouble and asked them to patrol past. Then maybe the outcome would have been different. I personally am sick to death of people having a big cry on this forum because police are actually doing their job.

Not only that they said they would then come back to the event and defect every car.
Ok i could rant all day about this, but il simply say the biggest problem is holding innocent bi-standers hostage with a defect notice.

how would you feel if you suddenly got defected because of someone elses behaviour?

This is what scares me. I want to be a up standing member of society and one with a hobby. but if i get my daily defected just by being near stupid people thats terrible. i could loose my job and everything.

I was told at the beach once to move my car or they would defect me.. if my car is worthy of a defect, then defect it.. but if you want me to move just please ask...

You are innocent, it is the state that must prove guilt under criminal law. You have a right to know your accuser.

The Magna Carta is still referenced here and the 1688 Bill Of Rights is where we derive "Parliamentary Privilege", it was preambled under a couple of State Constitutions.

Bolshie/Fabian politician "reformers" have over the decades sought to sideline the old inherited freedoms and common law, and in many examples have succeeded.

The old saying; "Freedom is not hereditary" rings true.

Old man was a QC and national court judge, in NSW alone between 1980-1985 he tallied some five thousand items of reformist legislation that effectively made it easier for 'the state' to jail you. Couldn't fathom why people just accepted it all. Apathy.

The latest thing in NSW is if they suspect someone is a criminal they can take possession of all that persons assets and it is than up to that individual to take the government to court and prove they obtained that property legally through inheritance a job which paid X and led to him affording Y. I have not heard of this new law being abused yet and I do see where is could be applied with some good results but the fact that it is law and and a tool of the NSW police like all tools can be abused especially in the corrupt environment we have here in NSW and i doubt the new liberal will have the ticker to do what kennet did and turn over corrupt deals and sack corrupt people and even those who have just a whiff of dodgeness.

Anyway mate i feel for you ive been there and although most coppers are alright there some real douchebags who just make things worse for everyone.[/QUOTE]
