Default New to the forums from a slightly different angle ;)

Just thought i'd say hello as the parents little AU Fairmont has past its extended warranty period and now I get to save the olds some money.......errr I meant do the servicing.

Gotta admit I was pretty shocked at the costs of the servicing at our local Ford dealership but that was part of the agreement for the extended warranty. I've had a browse around here and there seems to be some good information.

I actually run a Honda forum over at www.ozhonda.com so know what it takes to have good articles that people can read.

Keep up the good work!

Thanks ArgonEF. I'm in NW Sydney. I'm also actually moving away from home soon so hopefully the family doesn't have too many hassles with the car!

I've worked on Honda's quite a bit so I would have looked forward to using this site a bit more and working a bit on the Ford!

Welcome to the forums!

Also, don't go to Ford for servicing unless you like paying alot for nothing. You will find someone cheaper and better!

You'll find if you can work on Hondas good, the Ford will be **** easy. Recon you could pull the head off to do a head gasket? That would probably be the hardest (most expensive) thing you would have to work on in the Ford. If so then you can save packets.
