Oh suprise, another "I'm surprised rego had gone up! Why? Why? WHY?" thread.
As mentioned previously here in QLD it's near the 1000 for the year. When I first registered the blue beast in 05 it cost me $693. No, it's not fair that it goes up as often as it dies & it's always above the inflation rate. However, you choose to drive what you drive, so you bear the cost in every way. No point whining about it. I also just renewed my drivers licence, & firearms licence. There is a cost for every choice, you simply choose whether you want that cost or not....

I think I'll stay in the UK
My XA Coupe, XC Coupe and XC GXL are £170 (approx $350) each My daily a Ford Fiesta is £10 yes £10 pa and my Ford Focus Station Wagon is a might £30 pa. then I have insurance (XA, XC and GXL are about £150 ea) and the Fiesta and Focus about £200 ea. I remember my XC Coupe in NSW was extortionate from memory about $800 plus insurance. Wayne |

I just wish the extra taxes actually were directed into the roads instead of being absorbed into the entire budget and distributed to things like welfare for teenage mums etc.

Im complaining about the change in rego prices from year to year. No consulatation just kick up the ***.
What does it really cost the rta for me to have 3 cars instead of one, they are parked on my premises and only one uses the road at a time. I should buy one set of plates and use them on the car i use like car yards do with new cars. |
