Recently cleaned my Tb and idle control valve. I'll admit this is the first time I've bothered to
I noticed the plastic intake is bent where it meets the throttle body. Is it worth replacing? Apologies for phone camera pics!

if you leave it like that you will suck in unfiltered air , not good.
you can't replace just the rubber the bend and rubber are sold as an assembly

That's what I thought. It's apparently been like this for the whole 12 months I've had the car.
If I am replacing it anyway, is there a better model for an I6 with factory LPG?

You can always get a full BA intake, or get a Territory intake..
straight fit as far as i know little tip, you can re-fit that.. use a screwdriver to hold that little bit out while you slide it back on

i would try doing what JC said and get get a hose clamp but if the split on the left of the spring clamp in the first photo gets any worse i would be replacing that with another one from the wreckers or something because if it splits right through you will probably suck in abit of air still and it shouldnt cost much for a replacement from the wreckers

What I've done for now is put it on rotated 180deg so I could see that it was on right, then slowly turned it back to the normal angle. Should do for a while, but I don't like taking unnecessary risks like using damaged goods.
Is a BA upper intake pipe any improvement on the AU? It seems to hang over the engine a little more, and I've never really worked out what the long, curved outer chamber in it is for.
