The types of bogans who like driving over enthusiastically prefer commodores 90% of the time.

Having said that we cannot start stereotyping bogans. We need to hate them all equally no matter what POS car they drive.

Does anyone have figures on how many more "young impressionable" drivers there are now as opposed to 10+ years ago?

And with regards to the comments linking these accidents and deaths to a single motorsports event or any event. For every impressionable fool there is that does something stupid and tragic, how many are there that don't?

Stats can be spun to suit most agendas and for the most part unfortunately get spun to suit the minority groups or individuals seeking personal glory (on forums and the media)

No problems, sarcasm is hard to pick up and convey through text.

I must be one of the few that really doesn't care either way. Am not surprised at anything humans do. Young people will always, for all eternity be involved in anti social behaviour, if they get caught in the act, do the crime do the time, if they get away with it, what can you do. There will always be fatal car accidents, just more oxygen for my turbo.

That's the sad part, there are a lot that don't...it's the minority that do that are the reason behind the laws becoming more and more stringent - in my opinion anyway. I'm sure others have theirs. With all due respect thought, I don't, however, think it's too far fetched to consider that there are other factors involved, aside from them being 'bogans'.

When was the last time someone died doing a burnout?

Its harmless fun and a huge part of car culture especially Aussie Muscle, Good to see the propaganda has fooled people into thinking the world will end and all the children will die if you smoke it up occasionally with no one around.

Recently a young bloke hit a tree in Sebastopol he passed away alcohol was a factor in the crash. I was driving past the scene two days later and there was a bunch of guys at the emptying two bottles of bundy onto the tree.

Sad

That is sad. Clearly the whole experience of losing a mate taught them nothing, which I think is what bothers me most about these kind of incidents. Makes you wonder what kind of values their parents instilled into them.

Nice burnout.

I am not against burnouts. Just don't do it down the middle of a main street. because if something does go wrong you don't want to be hitting anyone.

At least the guy in the video was on a rural road and only risked injuring himself.

There's nothing wrong with 'throwing loops' - it's the locale that they decided to do it...

How do you know that you'd be looking down?
