yeah I've gotten about 10 spam texts and one enquiry through the site that sounded pretty dodgey. Not one legit buyer yet. I'd drop the price, but I'm already the cheapest listing....

... and now on Gumtree. A friend was selling some furniture and got the old chestnut about how he was on an oil rig etc etc.

Yes, the in laws got one today through gumtree. I have to say though, it is very obvious that it is dodgy. Almost to the point where I don't really feel sorry for people that fall for these scammers. Darwinism....survival of the fittest and all that.

it was in todays advertiser in bendigo, man placed his car on ebay for $1200 seems some one from an off shore oil rig sent him and email contact and wanted to buy the car but insisted on using pay pal and western union and stated an agent needed payment of $700 prior to arriving for COD to prove seller was genuine... " seller contacted western union and paypal and they both advised it was a scammer. close call
