Hey,
Just wondering if other people here have been waiting a while for delivery of their new ford focus..?? Is there any chance of getting the VIN number of a car with just the SIDO number. The saleman that sold my car has given me a SIDO number but says that he is having trouble with giving me a VIN number.. The reason why l asked for a VIN is that l have emailed FORD in south africa just to try and get some more light on the delivery of my car.. and they told me that they need the VIN number??? Is the salesman telling me fibs that he is having trouble with the VIN number even though he has a SIDO number??? JUST CURIOUS?? Patiently waiting.. |

There is a waiting period on the new Focus, dealers cannot get them fast enough. However, NZ recently changed its Focus sourcing from SA to Europe for the same reason (so they said) which will free up more for Australia.
Good luck with it all and hope you get a great car. Tim |

There are heaps of stock getting around dealers but if youve ordered a specific car then youll just have to wait, otherwise try and get the dealer to get you one thats already in stock or can be transfered from another dealer.

Maximum 3 month wait ive heard, 12 weeks seems like a long time though, but yeh, they are a hot ticket at the moment, Mazda had this same problem last year with the 3, but as soon as the supply problem was resolved they are everywhere. so give it 4-6 months.
