Hello All, I currently have a press bend twin 2.5 Manta system with front mufflers only and its very loud around 4000rpm and above, have been pulled over by the Police awhile back because they could hear me well before they saw me, they also said they found me by following the the noise, after being very polite and agreeing i should change my driving habits and also make a effort to make the car quieter they sent me on my way. So basically what im after is some advice on ways to make it quieter with out losing top end power as the car makes around 380rwhp and i like to frequent the motorplex regularly.
What i was thinking is going with a new twin 2.5 Manta system but this time get the mandrel bent jobby with the rear muffler piece as well.......Do you think the extra muffler will make much difference or is there anything else out there that has a good rep for being quiet yet giving good flow? Thanks in advance, Craig. |

I know mine is a 6 but when i had my system done it only had one muffler in front of the diff and it was rather noisy, I had a 350mm long hotdog fitted between the muffler and high flow cat and it made a moderate difference.
Maybe add hotdogs or something similar to the new system ?

Be interested in the outcome here... I am looking at going from a single 3" with a muffler and a hotdog to a similar 2 x 2 1/2 setup to what you have mentioned..

Checkout difillipo on gasolene a few weeks back when they had him on he was showing a hot dog like thingy that they developed for maximum flow but when you step on it, is meant to quiet an noisy v8 maybe give them a buzz or check they're site
