Can anyone tell me what function the pipe that comes off the exhaust and hooks up to the air filter cover does on a 3.9 cfi??,and does it need to be on there as i have seen some with it removed.cheers.

I think its to do with EPA
Same deal on alot of Carby Hemi 6's
