You see them going through a red light, over taking double-lines, exceeding the posted limit *before* any offence had been committed by the bikes. If that's the example being set, then I see no need for people to adhere to every single arbitrary limit or law imposed on us, especially when the law enforcers don't respect it.
A while back there was footage officers were showing of a car going straight through a corner and nearly taking out a patrol car. The patrol car was doing over 70 on the video (says so on the screen). That was at Sandy Hollow about 20 minutes from here and in the 60 zone just after the 40 school zone. The officer was speeding!

I was once bored waiting for my wife to finish shopping at O'Halloran Hill, while trying to call her on my mobile I noticed 3 cars in a row go straight through the Stop sign, so while standing there I switched my mobile over to video and thought " I wonder if any more cars will run the stop sign"?

Anyway yes several more did, in fact the only one that actually stopped only stopped because a car was coming, had there been no car on the road with right of way this car would not have stopped either.

Then a cop car came along and I thought I better not let them see me videoing, but it wasn't until later when I viewed the video that I realised that I'd caught the Patrol car also failing to stop at the stop sign, unfortunately it is at the very end of the video but it really looks like they didn't stop.

In my opinion cops speeding without lights or sirens is no safer than you or I speeding, they should use lights at least when driving fast!
