Smile New Ford Focus - Taking it to extremes

Hi,

I am one of the 12 test drivers as part of Fords Ultimate Test Drive competition.

I currently own a 2010 Ford Fiesta Zetec manual (German build). So now there are two Germans in my driveway. My Fiesta and the Focus from Ford Australia.

I have always been a keen driver. I am interested to hear how you would like to see me put the Focus through its paces, particularly around:

Driving experience
Extreme weather and durability test
Ultimate road trip

You can vote for me and check out the videos at http://bit.ly/voteblake

Also, if you want a more in depth look at my experience with the Focus, check out my Blog and photos of the Focus at http://blakesfocus.blogspot.com

Let me know what you think.

Cheers,
Blake

My vote goes to you Blake being one of the N.S.W. contestants. Read my Post in the "Show Me Your Focus" Section for my thoughts of the MKIII from the passenger seat.

Oh, I know an ideal road to complete a "Ultimate Grip" Test.

Some hairpins would be ideal - could also turn into the G Force test. The grip from the 18" Michelin tyres is phenomenal. Even with the front wheel drive layout torque steer is all but eliminated.

Steering feel is also very good - nice and meaty, yet accurate and precise. And the ride is compliant!

Very good balance.

2 actually. The usual favourite, Old Pacific Highway and the Royal National Park.

No offence, but I hate these 'Make your video of our product" competitions. It's been done so many times before, and Ford think they are hip and cool using "social media". Just lazy Ford.

It was very clever when it was first done about 5 years ago. It's now passe.

I'm not having a go at you. I wish you every luck in the comp.

I just think it's limp and lazy on Ford's part

Hi all.

Check out my latest blog post. Video of fuel economy run coming soon.
It was exhausting but amazing what you can extract from the 2.0L diesel.
