Question Rowan Atkinson has a 1964 Ford Falcon ???

Can someone confirm this ? I am not able to download TG episodes..at the mercy of Channel 9 programmers.!!
A spokesman for PBJ & JBJ Management, which represents Atkinson, confirmed that the star had been involved in an accident but said he would not be commenting at this stage.
Mr Atkinson is well known for his love of fast cars and recently recorded the fastest lap time in Top Gear’s Star in a Reasonably Priced Car.
He told presenter Jeremy Clarkson he was keen on racing and was currently driving a 1964 Ford Falcon.
But his racing expertise did little to quell his nerves before taking on the challenge, he admitted.
In a clip of the show, uploaded on to YouTube by the BBC on July 22, Atkinson said people would “assume that in the reasonably priced car I will be very good when there's absolutely no guarantee of that whatsoever”.
But the Blackadder actor notched up the fastest ever time on the show, completing the circuit in 1 minute 42.2 seconds.

Yeah, Falcon Sprint with a 289 V8 in the Touring Car Masters series.

Is supposedly being replaced by an AMC Javelin or something this year though.

Rowan indulges passion for speed with racing at Silverstone
29 JULY 2008
As his bumbling on-screen persona Mr Bean Rowan Atkinson set off on his adventures in a Mini Cooper. In real life the British actor favours something a little more zippy.

The 53-year-old car enthusiast got behind the wheel of a powerful Ford Falcon this week to compete in the Silverstone Classic. Joining over 700 drivers taking part in the three-day motor event, he proved a formidable opponent in his own class, finishing 14th out of a field of 70.

The classic car Rowan was putting through its paces is one of many the TV funnyman has in his garage. His extensive collection includes Bentleys and Aston Martins, as well as the £500,000 classic D-Type Jaguar he splashed out on to celebrate the box office success of Mr Bean's Holiday.

I see a ticker on the news today, Rowan smashed up a "super car". I was hoping it wasn't this car (I was guessing the spin doctors got the terminology wrong-lol).

Assuming he may have owned a Mclaren? Or it might have been the D type Jag?

Very capable steerer too! Is fastest around the Top Gear track in Reasonably Priced Car (Kia).

Spose it helps when your only 45KG's wringing wet! Smooth is fast. You can see it on Youtube - search Rowan Atkinson Top Gear if this link doesn't work

Yep .. 73-74 AMC Javelin .. But Jim will only start using it when he's 100% confident it's competitive.

Love Mr Atkinsons Falcon.
