Default Serious 4.o litre drag?

Has anyone got serious with a 4.o litre motor yet? I'm building a Corolla for the new Sport Compact class and wanted to see if anyone has built one of these motors full on. I'm guessing I'm gonna be needing about 200kw at the wheels on Avgas.

Anyone got any info?????

Check out forum sponsor Jim Mock Motorsport. They have a manual EB 4.0L naturally aspirated + NOS running 12 second quarters I think it was. Check out the post in their sub-forum or web page

the JMM EB is running 12.04 running 100 or 150bhp shot.

If your going 110% drag engine, I would look at getting very serious with manafolds, induction and head work.

I'd start with a 94DA head, get big valves installed and ported. For an out and out motor you can go to the extent of raising the port floor and porting out the roof etc etc.

As for intake are you limited to carb, or can you use injection. For an out and out race motor Hilborn style injection, using 6TB is one avenue.

I'm racing in the ALLMTR class so no shot of gas for me. Can run injection and Dom from Microtech is helping out with a computer. Will run standard inj but once car is up and running will look to going ITB
Please keep the advice coming....

you should be able to get 200kws n/a with superhigh comp and some good race fuel.
check with andra web site for approved fuels and tune engine to that.
you have to use one of those fuels to fit class rules or std pump fuel.

imo you will need a manual behind it for quick times seen it will be pretty low in power.

when will it be completed???
